Across two originals and a drum track, Stefan's lethal aptitude for programming is obvious—as is his sense of wit. On the title track, a plucked harp threads delicate notes alongside hi-hats that fall forwards in endless spirals, encouraging movement and lightness. On B side "to the bone," oboe notes mingle with crushed snares, dubbed chords, and a vocal that's as classically absurd as it is completely irresistible. As we share this work with dancefloors and selectors alike, we are struck by just how much FUN the record is. On today's head-down dancefloor that is often caught up in the idea of "depth" and "darkness", the youthful curiosity of this record cuts through like a knife.
